Meet Our Doctors
JOSALYN BRUCE, DVM
Dr. Josalyn Bruce, originally from Oregon, earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2016. She began her career in Kansas, later practicing in Washington before returning home to Eugene.
Passionate about the challenges and rewards of veterinary medicine, Dr. Bruce blends hands-on expertise with a lifelong love of learning. She is deeply committed to partnering with pet owners to support the long-term health and well-being of their animals. Always striving to grow alongside her patients and their families, she brings compassion and dedication to every aspect of her work.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Bruce enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, gardening, and curling up with a good book. At home, she shares her life with two beloved cats.

Bonnie Burns, DVM
Dr. Bonnie Burns-Oberlander earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis in 1996. She then completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship in San Diego. After working in small animal clinics in California and Eugene, she founded a mobile house-call practice in 2010. Over the next 12 years, she expanded the practice and provided medical, surgical, and dental care for cats and dogs throughout Lane County. Committed to broadening her expertise, Dr. Burns-Oberlander has pursued additional training in cardiac and abdominal ultrasound, dentistry, and acupuncture.
Dr. Burns-Oberlander’s passion for veterinary medicine began at a young age, inspired by growing up surrounded by a variety of animals. She always loved science and, in the second grade, decided that she was going to be a doctor. She cares deeply for her patients and is committed to providing thoughtful, high-quality care while building strong relationships with pet parents. Her special interests include feline medicine, endocrinology, ultrasound, and dentistry.
When she is not working as a veterinarian, Dr. Burns-Oberlander manages her husband’s winery and tasting room in Eugene. She also has a small bakery in which she specializes in cheesecakes and cakes. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and 2 daughters, taking foreign language classes, hiking, and playing the flute in the local community orchestra.

BRIE
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
She began working for her grandfather in the 6th grade and was inspired to continue in the field. Brie earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Science and continued to complete a two-year program to earn certification as a veterinary technician.
When she isn’t working, Brie enjoys walking her dogs and reading. She has three dogs—Rose, Poppy, and Felix; and three cats—Trixie, Maggie, and Ellie.

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
Melanie enjoys spending time with kids, playing video games, reading, and doing beadwork in her free time. Melanie has ten cats at home and a guinea pig!

She grew up on a ranch and enjoys doing anything outdoors, especially camping, barbecuing, hiking, fishing, snowboarding, and playing volleyball.
Amber has enjoyed many pets and looks forward to filling her home with more furry four-legged friends.
